2017 Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair

The Arkansas Oklahoma State Fair has something for everyone! Be a part of the 81st annual Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair.

Begun in 1936 as the Fort Smith Livestock Exposition, the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair has grown into one of the premier events in the region. The 2017 fair continues the tradition by educating and entertaining over 2,500 exhibitors, vendors and over 150,000 visitors during this nine day celebration.

Fall Career Fair

Date: Wednesday, September 27, 2017
Time: 11:00am to 1:00pm
Location: Crawford County Adult Education Center 605 Alma Boulevard Circle

The Crawford County Adult Education Center is hosting their annual Fall Career Fair in celebration of National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. The career fair will provide free access to education and career options for students and the surrounding communities. The Career Fair is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Crawford County Adult Education Center in Van Buren on 605 Alma Boulevard Circle. CCAEC hosts local employers, community resources and schools during the fair to help individuals make the transition into training and/or employment. Resume and online job application assistance will also be provided during the event. Chess Knight @ Dewey’s Café

Dewey’s Café at the Main Library welcomes chess players of all ages and skill levels for a get together on Wednesday evenings in September. Café customers can play and discuss the game of chess in a laid back casual atmosphere.
