Gloria Garfinkel: Vibrancy of Form

Date: Sunday, April 23, 2017
Time: 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Location: Fort Smith Regional Art Museum 1601 Rogers Avenue Fort Smith, AR

Deeply influenced by Japanese objects, Garfinkel’s work reflects “kando” which stresses the simplicity, elimination of clutter, and a sense of essentialness.

Her vision embodies the quality of elegance without showiness or flashiness, and exemplifies a sophistication that is introverted and calm. Optimizing visual play and retinal delight, this extraordinary artist explores dualities between the natural and artificial.

This exhibit will showcase approximately 50 works of various mediums, including etchings on paper, painted aluminum, and oil on canvas works
