Welcome to The Columbus Foundation and our two Columbus replica ships - our original Niña, the most historically accurate replica of a Columbus Ship ever built, and our newer Pinta.

Both The Niña and Pinta will be touring together as a new and enhanced ‘sailing museum’, for the purpose of educating the public and school children on the ‘caravel’, a Portuguese ship used by Columbus and many early explorers to discover the world.

The Columbus Foundation receives no funds from government agencies or private foundations.

We are supported entirely by the fees paid to tour the ships.

Tour Details:

  • You can book a tour anytime from 9am-6pm on days the ships are in port.
  • Each group has a tour guide assigned to them.
  • Each tour will last an average of 30 minutes, with time split between The Nina and Pinta.
  • Groups of 15 or more receive a group rate of $5 per person.
  • Maximum number of people allowed in a 30 minute time slot is 100.

Breathe life into your still life with a more spontaneous approach in this 3-day workshop. Learn how to think about painting “light” instead of objects. I will show you my thought process in setting up a concept and executing it by going directly to paint, without fussing with tedious pre-drawings. I will teach and demonstrate my painting methods each day from start to finish with commentary throughout the process.  There will be open discussion of my material choices, prop selection, paint application, values, colors choices and lighting of the subject.  You will receive one on one critique with special attention to your particular needs. Beginners through advanced are welcome.

Unger and Madison are at it again – but with a twist. In Neil Simon’s female version of his comic classic, we follow the lives of Olive Madison, a slobbish divorcee, and Florence Unger, a stickler for neatness, as they clash and crash into hilarity. Simon always entertains and never disappoints.
