United Way Power of the Purse

The proceeds from this luncheon and silent auction will benefit United Way’s early literacy initiative. Through a partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, United Way mails more than 2,600 children a quality, age-appropriate book a month from birth to their fifth birthday at no cost to the parent.

Classic Film Festival: Strangers on a Train (PG)

A Classic Film Festival will be held on Tuesday evenings during the month of October at the Miller Branch Library. The five film series will showcase a different genre this week.
Join us for drama this week with Strangers on a Train. In this classic film from 1951, a psychotic socialite confronts a pro tennis star with a theory on how two complete strangers can get away with murder - a theory that he plans to implement in this Film-Noir thriller.
Light refreshments will be served at this free library event.
